Hi, I'm Ian McDonald (aka Mac) and I joined the family upholstery business when I was fifteen. My father, Douglas McDonald started McDonalds Motor Trimmers in 1945 after he'd learned to be a motor trimmer in the army in WWII, and now Cherry-Anne is the third generation to join the family business.

I've worked in the upholstery business for 43 years - and I thoroughly enjoy what I do! I first worked for my father, Doug McDonald, and later took over the family business. I learnt many old time skills from Doug which I've passed down to my daughter, Cherry.

In 1996 I started Rider Customer Motorcycle Seats as I'm a keen motorcycle rider, and now I work on motorcycle seats pretty much full time.

I've been working at the family business for 10 years now as a qualified motor trimmer and specialise in all forms of motor trimming and upholstery, and also manage the day to day running of the business.
